7404A-1 - Control Monitor Test Set (Oscar)
Allows monitoring or injection of CCCS bus signals
CCCS = Communication Computation Control System
- Clock = Continuous sine-wave at 4800Hz
- Control = Computer talking to equipment
- Logic Level High = in-phase with Clock
- Logic Level Low = out-of-phase with Clock
- Monitor = Equipment talking back to computer
Back of Unit:
- S1 UP, in Sine Wave at all times
- S2, In LCU for use as local control, in DCU/DCFR for simulating equipment
- P2, P3, P4 Not used
- P5, DCU/DCFE
- P6, LCU Sine Wave / use in conjunction with S2
- F1, Fuse
Front of Unit:
- Clear button - NEVER USED
- Send button - Sends control word ONCE
- 32 toggle switches
- Dialogic bit must be 1 all the time
- S3, Parity Encode, leave in Auto (UP)
- S4, Parity Mode, sensed (UP)
- S5, Retransmit (3-position), Use in Continuous (UP)
- S6, Address length, 7-bit for Local Control, 5-bit for DCU/DCFE
- S7, Half Duplex (HDX) / Full Duplex (FDX), Leave in Full Duplex (FDX)
